With major research collaborations, dozens of supported companies and organizations, and an active role in training the next generation, the IID is a key link in Quebec’s academic and technological ecosystem.

Activities and services
Workshops and training courses
The IID trains talent in AI and data science through online and in-person courses, corporate internship programs, the development of customized training programs, and the enhancement of existing programs, in collaboration with our academic partners.
Collaborations with industry
As a key collaborative hub in the greater Quebec City area, the IID has already supported more than 250 companies and organizations in their transition to AI. By leveraging the expertise of its members, the Institute offers exclusive access to comprehensive expertise in AI and data science.
Access to research infrastructure
The IID supports the development and operation of state-of-the-art research and training facilities at Université Laval. Together with its members’ laboratories, these facilities accelerate innovation in key sectors, ranging from advanced manufacturing to genomics and high-performance computing.
Events
The IID promotes AI and data research through a rich and varied program of events, including major conferences, webinars, and specialized events. Together with its partners, the Institute fosters the dissemination, transfer, and popularization of this knowledge within academic and industrial circles, as well as among the general public.

From applied and basic research to major ethical issues, the Institute for Intelligence and Data is committed to develop the methods, technologies, and applications that will support tomorrow's AI landscape.
