The Intelligence and Data Institute (IID) is delighted to have received $2 million in funding from Quebec’s Ministry of Economy, Innovation, and Energy (MEIE) to support the continuation of our mission and strengthen our role as a hub of expertise in artificial intelligence in the Capitale-Nationale region.

Among other things, this funding will support the development of a Quebec Center of Expertise in Generative AI, whose mission will focus on evaluating and refining AI models tailored to Quebec’s linguistic and cultural context.

Thank you to our government partners, as well as to our entire community of researchers, students, and industry partners who are making this breakthrough possible.
